pretending whenwe're 19 I think well right we're alljust trying to sort of pretend our waythrough every awkward situation thatlife presents cuz we're so alert andaware of them then right we're so likeoh my God this is ai for studentshorrible I'm going tobe the best person I can possiblypretend to be maybe that's what it isyou know I think a lot of it and thenyou know you get to see the world and noone's seen the world the way you've seenthe world and I I really appreciate howthis album is um there's a lot ofinternal thinking going on here on thisrecord and it's not just all the thingsthings I've seen and all the experiencesI've witnessed vicariously as I'vetoured the world multiple times and hadthe kind of experience only three othergirls can really relate to right otherwomen you know you've really done a lotof self-work in this record and there'sa lot of really brutal honest writing inhere yeah I it's just all the thingsthat obviously as what we are you knowis black pink it's all the things like Iwould love to share with my I think ummy fans are like I should feel closer tothem but some subjects I I don't get totalk about every day um because you knowpeople like to say things and it be itcauses drama and everything but I thinka lot of that is like in you know voicesin inside of me it's just me who I am asa person and my friends and family whenthey hear it when I play it and they'relike this is so you Rosie oh my God thisis so you this is what we hear aboutevery day and it's just what I talkabout with my friends and family putinto an album so that we can all shareit and hopefully my fans feel closer tome yeah closeness is a is a theme onthis record right this idea of wantingto eliminate the distance that Ithink really success cancreate not really it just it justhappens naturally I think right and Ithink that it's clear that you know justby by calling the album Rosie and sayingthis is what my friends and family callme that you want to feel closer to yourto your fans through this process Ireally do that was good especially lastyear a good few months where I was likeI was craving that so bad but there wasnothing nothing I could do at that timeI just want to give them the best allthe time um and there were really goodfew months of feeling like that cravingfor the closeness with the fans and Ireally did Channel it and so I'm sograteful for the opportunities that I'vehad in the studio um that I couldchannel that in into my music so in away is number one girl kind of almost atribute too as much as it's toxic it'skind of it's kind of a message isn't itI'm yeah it it really it started thereum but we made sure that it contained auniversal feeling which it is I couldrelate to that after like say I have abreakup next year I could turn it on andI could Channel it in let's hope notafter hearing this album's cop because Ithink you've obviously been through oneaswell I mean ladies and gentlemen the Xmean the X I mean it's there there arelyrics that that sometimes just theythey they sort of um they're morevisceral than others that song wasactually supposed to be called the ex weyou started writing it being like Oh myGod it's about time we've talked aboutthe X a bit too much it's about timethat we write a song called The X butthen we came up with a better punchlineso we did great punch line so we put itin the in the in that section we're likeI need to talk about it's but but it'salso what's cool about it is that thesong ends up becoming somewhat selfaware too and like at the end of anyrelationship you take a bit ofaccountability for all of that too andeven for the decisions you make whetheryou thought that were smart or not andlater on it's like all right maybe Ineed to Jud judge people a little bitbetter than I havebut that song in particular um is iskind of really at the heart of a lot ofthe subject matter which is like youknow sort of classic sort of Playbookdone very personally uniquely throughthat experience that that many peopledon't get to write about that idea ofhaving something and losing somethingthat meant a lot to you um was it toughto sort of be as open about that as asyou have been on the record what weresome of the challenges you found aboutreally writing from the heart I thinkthat was like a something that wasliving living with me for a fewyears I don't personally don't think Ideserved it but it it just it was it wasthere like I'm actually shocked that tothis like today I can wake up and belike I don't talk about that anymorebecause I'm grateful that I got to dothis album because I used to talk aboutit somuch so when you ask if it was hard itwas very easy for me to talk about itbecause it was something I was talkingabout all the time all the time yeahyeah so just transfer into song modeyeah and I'd go and be like what do youwantand I'd hate itbut I'd never like the person to knowabout it but I would talk about it somuch do not want to give credit to theperson but I talk about it and it it'sjust the easiest it was the easiest cuzit like I needed to get it off my chestand we talk about it all the time theylike they like what are you talkingabout I was talking about the X the Xyeah yeah again and they like okay Rosyou do it again I'll be like I got moreyeah got more don't worry about it don'tworry about it we're not done with the Xyeah so it wasn't that difficult yeah itwas it was yeah it was good it
